BRIEF
Illume is a singing wall art light product designed for people who want to add decor to their room and care about aesthetics, ambiance, and creating a unique or cozy atmosphere in their homes without sacrifing space. Whether you are a Gift shopper, Music lovers, Interior design hobbyist, or a Nighttime reader this product is meant to serve you. This concept started as a branding and packaging exercise for a product I found on Etsy. I developed a brand name, defined the company’s goal, and researched target audiences and competitors—like Nanoleaf, Displate, and JBL—to begin shaping the direction of the brand and product identity.
IDEATION
Since the product is a minimalist, space-saving solution with a subtle space-inspired theme, I leaned into that concept even more. I created a custom logotype using the Montserrat typeface to give the brand a classy, artsy feel—something that speaks to art lovers and interior design enthusiasts. In Photoshop, I enhanced the product with glowing effects and applied an astral pattern I sketched out to emphasize the nightlight and cosmic vibe. To bring everything together, I designed a website that reflects the same ambiance. I used soft, rounded corners and a consistent border radius throughout the layout to echo the circular shapes of planets, helping reinforce the space theme visually and cohesively.
